Hoy se dio a conocer las listas oficiales de las 16 selecciones que disputarán la Copa Mundial de Beach Soccer de la FIFA Paraguay 2019™️.

En total, serán 192 futbolistas los que participarán de la 10ª edición del torneo, que tendrá lugar entre el 21 de noviembre y 1 de diciembre en Asunción.

Una constelación de estrellas

Entre la estelar nómina del campeón Brasil, destacan el arquero Mao (Guante de Oro adidas en 2009), el defensa Bruno Xavier (Balón de Oro adidas en 2013) y el pívot Rodrigo.

La bi subcampeona mundial Tahití va por más con figuras como su arquero Jonathan Torohia y el ala Heimanu Taiarui (Guante y Balón de Oro en 2015 respectivamente).

La afición podrá disfrutar del inoxidable ala portugués Madjer, una leyenda viviente de la especialidad: ¡acumula 11 premios individuales en ocho ediciones!

Los goles también están asegurados: estarán el Italiano Gabriele Gori, el paraguayo Pedro Morán y el ruso Dimitrii Shishin, Botas de Oro de los últimos tres Mundiales.

Vibrant Official Emblem revealed as journey to FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020™ begins

Star-studded event including FIFA Legend reveals Official Emblem and colourful tournament identity
• FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020™ to take place from 2 to 21 November 2020
• Tournament to help inspire new generation of female players and promote positive social change

The Official Emblem of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020™ was unveiled today, 2 November 2019, during a star-studded launch event at the iconic Gateway of India in Mumbai. With one year to go before the start of the tournament, fans from across India and around the world experienced the excitement and optimism as the competition’s Official Emblem was revealed to the public.

Representatives from the Local Organising Committee (LOC), FIFA and the Indian government spoke about the power of football – and youth competitions in particular – to promote positive change in society, with a focus on accessibility and gender equality. The event culminated in a spectacular outdoor light projection to reveal the Official Emblem, which was attended by a host of stars from India and the world of football.

Popular local and international stars were in attendance – including FIFA Legend Kristine Lilly, the two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup™ winner and Olympic gold medallist – as were members of India’s U-17 women’s national team, who will be competing next year to lift the trophy whose shape inspired the emblem launched today.

The joyful design combines dynamic and colourful elements from both the natural world and Indian culture. The bright blue waves of the base reach up along the form of the trophy towards the paisley flourish crowning the design. The droplet frames a ball made from a marigold flower, a celebratory symbol of growth and development befitting a youth competition.

The colour and style of the marigold draw inspiration from Bandhani textiles, an Indian tie-dye technique dating back thousands of years. The stem of the marigold is accented with vibrant symbols of unity and celebration derived from traditional Warli paintings, but in the bright hues found in Bandhani patterns.

Together, the components exude the tournament’s youthful energy and emphasise the potential of the upcoming event.

Speaking at the ceremony, FIFA Women’s World Cup winner and FIFA Legend Kristine Lilly said:

“Today’s unveiling of the Official Emblem for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2020™ marks the start of an exciting journey with just one year to go until the tournament. Combining vibrant colours and elements from across Indian culture, nature and sport, this emblem brings the tournament to life and gives it a visual identity that not only aims to become a focal point and a symbol of hope for many young women and girls around the world, but will also inspire them to play football and to follow and pursue their dreams.”

“This tournament is not only a first step onto the international stage for the young women participating, it is an opportunity to inspire girls of all ages across India and around the world,” added FIFA Chief Women’s Football Officer Sarai Bareman. “The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup™ has huge potential to inspire positive change in society and promote gender equality. FIFA has published the key findings of a comprehensive audit of the final audience data for the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™.A combined 1.12 billion viewers tuned into official broadcast coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 across all platforms – a record audience for the competition. Linear TV accounted for the majority of the global audience, with 993.5 million viewers watching at least one minute of coverage on a TV set at home, an increase of 30% on the audience for the 2015 edition held in Canada, which reached 764.0 million.An estimated 481.5 million people accessed coverage of France 2019 on digital platforms, equivalent to 43% of the total audience reach. The digital audience, which overlaps with the linear TV audience, was up considerably on the estimated 86.0 million in 2015.The final between USA and the Netherlands was the most watched FIFA Women’s World Cup match ever, with an average live audience of 82.18 million (up by 56% on the 2015 final audience: 52.56 million) and reaching a total of 263.62 million unique viewers (one-minute reach), which accounted for 22.9% of the overall tournament reach.Over the 52 matches played in nine host cities across France and broadcast in 205 territories around the world, the average live match audience was 17.27 million viewers – more than double the 8.39 million average of Canada 2015. Unbeaten Heavyweight Contender Agit Kabayel Signs Promotional Deal with Top Rank

(Sept. 4, 2019) —European heavyweight kingpin Agit Kabayel is coming to America.

Kabayel (19-0, 13 KOs) has signed a promotional contract with Top Rank, which will co-promote his bouts with SES Boxing. He is ranked No. 4 by the IBF and No. 9 by both the WBO and WBC.

Kabayel made three defenses of the European heavyweight title before vacating the crown to pursue opportunities stateside. He will make his Top Rank debut on an ESPN platform in either late 2019 or early 2020.

Presentado el emblema oficial de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA Catar 2022™

Hoy se ha dado a conocer el emblema oficial de la 22.ª edición de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA™. La FIFA y Catar, el país organizador, marcan así un nuevo hito en el camino que lleva al mayor espectáculo futbolístico del mundo.

El emblema se presentó en Doha, capital de Catar, a las 20:22 h local (19:22 CET) ante miles de espectadores que disfrutaron de la proyección sincronizada del logotipo sobre la fachada de los edificios más representativos del país, entre ellos, la Torre Doha, el anfiteatro de Katara, el zoco de Souq Waqif o el fuerte de Al Zubarah, Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO.

Algunas de las ciudades más importantes del mundo participaron en la presentación proyectando también el emblema sobre algunos edificios emblemáticos o sobre grandes pantallas dispuestas en destacados espacios públicos. En las redes sociales, algunos de los futbolistas más famosos convertidos en leyendas mundialistas también apoyaron la presentación del emblema y lo compartieron con (los) millones de seguidores.

El diseño del emblema capta la esencia de un espectáculo que conecta e implica al mundo entero; además, incluye elementos íntimamente ligados a la cultura árabe local y regional y, cómo no, alusiones al deporte rey.

Las sinuosas curvas del emblema representan las onduladas dunas del desierto y el bucle es una referencia tanto al número ocho —la cifra de espectaculares estadios que acogerán el torneo— y al símbolo del infinito, que refleja la naturaleza interconectada del evento. Además de reproducir las formas del clásico trofeo de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA, la silueta de este emblema se inspira en el tradicional echarpe de lana. Durante los meses de invierno, estos chales son muy habituales en muchas partes del mundo, en especial en las regiones árabes y en el golfo pérsico. Sus estilos y usuarios son de lo más variado.

Los complejos bordados que suelen adornar estos echarpes en el mundo árabe se representan en cierto sentido diversas culturas de Asia. De este modo, se hace referencia al segundo Mundial celebrado en este continente y a la diversidad del pueblo catarí. Esta prenda invernal dotada de elementos regionales alude igualmente tanto a las fechas de disputa de este torneo como al hecho de que será el primer Mundial que se disputará en noviembre y diciembre.

La nueva tipografía que acompaña al emblema se inspira en la caligrafía árabe tradicional con una fuente original que fusiona la tradición y la modernidad presentes en la región y en toda Asia.

El emblema es tan solo un ejemplo del atrevido y vanguardista diseño corporativo de este Mundial, que verá la luz poco antes del inicio del campeonato. En mayo de este año acogió su primer partido el espléndido Estadio Al Janoub, que recuerda a los «dhow», las típicas embarcaciones de la zona. Es el segundo coliseo catarí completado y, además, es un vivo ejemplo del gusto del país por los grandes diseños arquitectónicos. La conclusión de los seis estadios restantes está prevista para finales de este año. Entre ellos, destaca el Estadio Lusail, con sus aberturas inspiradas en unos faroles tradicionales de la zona. En él se disputará el partido inaugural el 21 de noviembre y la final, el 18 de diciembre.
