Dan banderazo a otras 23 unidades de trolebús

(CDMX). El Gobierno de la Ciudad de México dio banderazo de salida a 23 unidades de nuevos modelos de trolebús para la capital del país.

Claudia Sheinbaum, encabezó el evento donde se completó una flotilla de 63 vehículos del Corredor Cero Emisiones de Eje Central.

Se informó que a partir del 8 de enero, los nuevos trolebuses circularán únicamente sobre Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas, en la zona del Centro Histórico.

En la misma fecha, para poder abordarlos, el pago será con la tarjeta única de transporte y para adultos mayores no tendrá costo.

Caso García Luna no es persecución: AMLO

(CDMX). Durante un informe más sobre el caso García Luna, el presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, aseveró que no se trata de persecución, sino de “no ser tapadera de nadie”.

Refirió el mandatario que la denuncia contra el exsecretario de Seguridad Pública, se presentó a partir del juicio que se le inició en Estados Unidos.

“La denuncia de Garcia Luna, se presenta a partir de que se da a conocer el juicio en Estados Unidos; a partir de ahí se aplica la Unidad de Inteligencia Financiera, se encuentran estos datos y se presentan a la Fiscalía”.

“Esto no es persecución, es no ser tapadera de nadie, porque tenemos que limpiar de corrupción el Gobierno y la fiscalía va a hacer su trabajo”, dijo en Palacio Nacional.

Reiteró que Santiago Nieto, titular de la Unidad de Inteligencia Financiera está cumpliendo con la responsabilidad apoyar la investigación, sin ocultar información.

Asimismo, mencionó que la Fiscalía General de la República, como institución autónoma abrió una carpeta de investigación y al no haberse actuado de esa manera, su administración “estaría sirviendo de cómplice”.

Person of Interest Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 6809 Utah Street

Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 6809 Utah Street about 6:40 a.m. on November 8.  

The individual, Douglas Ray Crawford (b/m, 36), is being sought by homicide investigators to help provide information in the shooting death of Theodore Lane, 38, and wounding of Stanley Nealy, 41.  Crawford is not charged in this case.

A previous booking photo of Crawford is attached to this news release.  He is about 6 feet tall and weighs 250 to 300 pounds.

One suspect, Corey Levell Johnson (b/m, 28), is already in custody and charged with capital murder in the 208th State District Court for his role in the incident.  A booking photo of Johnson is also attached to this news release.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Perez and A. Barr reported:  

On November 8, HPD patrol officers responded to a home invasion at an apartment at the above address and determined two black male suspects knocked on the door claiming to be selling a computer.  When one of the victims opened the door, the suspects forced entry at gunpoint and robbed the occupants of the residence.  Before leaving, the suspects shot Messrs. Lane and Nealey as they were lying on the floor.  Paramedics pronounced Lane deceased at the scene and Nealey was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an unknown condition.  

An investigation identified Johnson as a suspect in this case.  On November 22, Johnson was arrested on an unrelated charge.
Further investigation led detectives to seek Crawford for questioning in the case.

Surveillance Video Released in Fatal Shooting at 2950 Sage Road

Houston police have released surveillance video of two persons of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 2950 Sage Road that occurred about 12:55 p.m. on December 20.

The victim, Don Bennett, 35, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. On Monday (Dec. 23), he was pronounced deceased. 

Surveillance video of two persons of interest is attached to this news release.  The video shows two males who attempt to break into the victim’s car the morning of December 20.  The video is available on the HPD YouTube channel at: https://youtu.be/UVLus7W4h7I.

Also attached to this news release is a still photo of the unknown suspects’ Honda Accord, which fled the scene after the shooting. 

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Barker, M. Combs and Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported::

Mr. Bennett was staying at the hotel at the above address and was walking out of the hotel when an unknown vehicle drove past him.  An occupant(s) in the vehicle began firing several shots at Bennett, who was struck at least one time.  The suspects’ vehicle then fled the scene.

Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 8900 Glencrest Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man found at 8900 Glencrest Street #7275 about 11:25 a.m. on Tuesday (December 24).

The suspect, Christopher James White (b/m, 25), was charged later that day with aggravated assault of a family member in the 179th State District Court.  A previous photo of White is attached to this news release.  He is not in custody.

The victim, James Andre White, 48, suffered a gunshot wound to the head.  He was transported to an area hospital where, on Wednesday (December 25), he was pronounced deceased.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at an apartment at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found Mr. James White suffering from a gunshot wound.  A witness attending to Mr. White told officers that White’s son, Christopher, had shot his father during an argument.

Christopher White fled the scene prior to the arrival of the officers.  He was subsequently charged in this case and remains wanted at this time.

Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting of Two Men at 2005 Brackenridge Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of two men that occurred at 2005 Brackenridge Street about 8:45 a.m. on Monday (December 23).

The suspect, Earl Ledet (b/m, 30), is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 337th State District Court.  A 2018 booking photo of Ledet is attached to this news release.  He remains at large.

Both victims, Joe Louis Solis, 26, and Cameron Shaw, 31, were transported to area hospitals in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives R. Rivera and W. Elliott reported:

Ledet shot his neighbor, Mr. Solis, as he was leaving for work.  Ledet then entered the residence at the above address and shot Mr. Shaw.  Ledet then fled the scene on a bicycle.

Suspect Wanted for Questioning in Fatal Shooting at 14802 Buxley Street

Houston police are seeking the public’s help in locating a male wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 14802 Buxley Street about 1:10 p.m on Tuesday (December 24).

The male, Cedric Gee Mosley (b/m, 49), is charged with felon in possession of a weapon in the 248th State District Court.  A previous booking photo (June 2019) of Mosley is attached to this news release.  He is not in custody.

The victim, Derrick Fields, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Detective T. Jackson reported:

About 12:30 p.m., Mr. Fields and Mosley were involved in an altercation at the above address.  Fields was wielding a metal pipe when Mosley produced a firearm and shot Fields multiple times. 

Mosley then fled the scene on a black Honda VTX motorcycle.  He is wanted for questioning in this incident, however is not currently charged in Fields’ death.
