Final Update: Juvenile Suspect Identified in Tobacco King Burglary Investigation

Leesburg, VA (January 17, 2023) – A teenaged juvenile male has been identified as the suspect in the December 29, 2022, early morning burglary of Tobacco King, located at 345 East Market Street.

Responding Leesburg Police officers determined that the suspect had shattered the business’ plate glass door and had taken merchandise from the business. The suspect fled the business prior to officers being dispatched.

Leesburg Police detectives subsequently released a video surveillance still image of the suspect to the public. We would like to thank the members of the public who subsequently reached out to our detectives. Their tips directly led to the identification of the suspect.

The investigation has now been turned over to the Loudoun County Juvenile Court Services Unit.
