Mayor John Whitmire has proclaimed Thursday, April 17, as Houston Rockets RED DAY in the City of Houston to honor the team’s remarkable achievement-their playoff birth for the first time since the 2019-20 season.
Joined by Clutch, Gretchen Sheirr, Rockets President of Business Operations, and legends and Hall of Famers Calvin Murphy and Elvin Hayes, Mayor Whitmire encouraged Houstonians to wear red on Thursday and get ready to cheer for the team in their upcoming game against the Golden State Warriors.
