LAS VEGAS (August 12, 2025) — Twelve-time world champion and International Boxing Hall of Famer James Toney has confirmed his appearance at the Eighth Annual Box Fan Expo on Saturday, September 13, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The fan-focused event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., coinciding with Mexican Independence Day weekend and the highly anticipated Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight later that evening at Allegiant Stadium.

This will be Toney’s sixth appearance at the Expo, where he will host an exclusive meet-and-greet for fans. Attendees can get gloves, photos, and memorabilia signed, and shop limited-edition merchandise available only at the booth of the boxing legend, also known as “Lights Out.”

About James Toney

James Toney is a retired American professional boxer who was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota on June 12, 2022. A former IBF middleweight, super middleweight, and cruiserweight world champion, Toney is regarded as one of the greatest defensive fighters of his era and was unbeaten in his first 46 professional bouts.

Over a career spanning more than three decades, Toney faced elite competition across multiple weight classes and never suffered a knockout loss or required a referee stoppage. His notable victories include wins over Michael Nunn, Reggie Johnson, Mike McCallum, Iran Barkley, Vassily Jirov, and Evander Holyfield. He was named Ring Magazine and Boxing Writers Association of America Fighter of the Year in 1991, and Comeback Fighter of the Year in 2003.
