 McVey is locked in for 2026 and beyond. Are you?​ Chris ​McVey, who made history as a member of SDFC’s first-ever starting XI in the Club’s inaugural match, has been signed to an extension through 2027, with a Club option through 2028.

McVey is one of two members of the Squad who has played every minute of each match so far this season. McVey leads MLS in passes attempted (1,620) and in touches (1,796) and is tied in 8th place in pass completion percentage at 92.7%, placing him among the league’s most accurate distributors.
