News Briefing on 2023 Double Fatal Shooting at 8900 Bissonnet Street

At 10 a.m. on TUESDAY (September 23), HPD homicide detectives will make a plea to the public for information in fatal shooting of two men at 8900 Bissonnet Street about 5:35 p.m. on September 23, 2023.

The victims, Desmond Moore, 48, and Dester Chavez, 30, were shot by suspects in light-colored Nissan Sentra with a broken door handle on the front passenger side door. A surveillance photo of the vehicle is attached to this media alert.
