SAN DIEGO (Monday, May 5, 2025) – San Diego FC (5-4-2, 17 points) will travel this week to face St. Louis CITY SC (2-5-4, 10 points) at Energizer Park on Saturday, May 10. Kickoff for Saturday’s match is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT, with live coverage available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and radio broadcasts available in English on San Diego Sports 760 AM (KGB-AM) and in Spanish on TUDN 1700 AM.
Saturday’s match marks the second meeting this season between SDFC and St. Louis CITY SC. In their first encounter, the two Western Conference clubs played to a scoreless draw in San Diego’s inaugural home match at Snapdragon Stadium.
The game in St. Louis will be SDFC’s 12th MLS regular season match and sixth on the road. The Club heads into the weekend riding high after a dominant 5-0 win over FC Dallas on May 3 – the highest-scoring performance of its inaugural 2025 campaign.
St. Louis CITY SC, meanwhile, returns home following a 4-1 road loss to Seattle Sounders. CITY SC has suffered two home defeats this season – a 1-0 loss to Austin FC on March 30 and a 2-1 result against the Columbus Crew on April 13.
SDFC Players to Join After-School Program for Clinic and Q&A
As part of San Diego FC’s community outreach efforts, SDFC players Luca de la Torre and Alejandro Alvarado Jr .will visit Cesar Chavez Elementary School on Tuesday, May 6 for a special appearance with youth from Matters Athletic after-school program. The event will run from 3:00-4:00 p.m. PT at Cesar Chavez Elementary School (1404 S 40th St #3210, San Diego, CA 92113). Both SDFC players will engage with approximately 50 kids during their training session, assist with soccer drills, participate in a brief Q&A session, sign autographs and take photos with those in attendance. Matters Athletic is a non-profit organization providing free sports coaching, gym access, and academic support to young athletes who have been excluded from organized sports due to racial and economic barriers.
