SAN DIEGO (Tuesday, Sept. 9. 2025) – San Diego FC (56 pts, 17-7-5) returns to MLS action this weekend as they host Western Conference rivals Minnesota United FC (51 pts, 14-6-9) on Saturday, Sept. 13 on Hispanic Heritage Night presented by Michelob ULTRA, at Snapdragon Stadium.  Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PT, with live coverage available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, and radio broadcasts in English on San Diego Sports 760 AM and in Spanish on TUDN 1700 AM.
Saturday’s match marks a top-of-the-table Western Conference clash between first-place SDFC and second-place Minnesota United FC. In their first meeting, SDFC traveled to Allianz Field and pulled off a thrilling 4-2 comeback victory, led by a brace from Anders Dreyer on June 14.
San Diego enters the match coming off a 2-1 road win over LAFC at BMO Stadium on Aug. 31. The victory matched St. Louis CITY SC’s record for most wins in an inaugural season (17). SDFC also became the first team this season to clinch a spot in the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs, following a 0-0 draw with Portland on Aug. 23 at Snapdragon Stadium. Notably, SDFC is now the fastest expansion club to clinch a playoff berth (28 matches) since at least the 2009 Seattle Sounders (29 matches), excluding the shortened 2020 season.
Saturday’s match will feature Minnesota’s first-ever trip to Snapdragon Stadium, coming off a 1-1 home draw against Portland on Aug. 31 at Allianz Field.
SDFC VS. CLUB TIJUANA – BAJA CUP
Following Saturday’s match SDFC shifts gears as they prepare to host Club Tijuana (Xolos) in the first-ever Baja Cup presented by Modelo on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Snapdragon Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT.
This match is included in the season ticket packages for SDFC season ticket members and single match tickets are available for fans of both clubs.
