SDFC travels to face Sporting Kansas City in first road game of the season on Saturday, March 7 at Sporting Park

SAN DIEGO (Tuesday, March 3, 2026) – San Diego FC (SDFC) will travel to face Sporting Kansas City in the first road match of the season on Saturday, March 7 at Sporting Park. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. PT, with live coverage available on Apple TV, as well as an English radio broadcast on San Diego Sports 760 AM.

Saturday’s contest will mark the third meeting between SDFC and Sporting Kansas City, with SDFC holding a 1-0-1 (W-L-D) record in the series. In the first meeting, SDFC and Kansas City played to a 0-0 draw at Snapdragon Stadium on May 17, 2025, before SDFC earned a 2-0 road victory in the second meeting at Sporting Park, formerly Children’s Mercy Park, on Aug. 9, 2025.

SDFC enters the match coming off their second-consecutive home win of the season defeating St. Louis CITY SC 2-0 on Sunday, March 1.

Kansas City enters Saturday’s contest with a 0-1-1 record, registering their first point of the season following a 2-2 home draw against Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Following Saturday’s match in Kansas, SDFC will then host Deportivo Toluca F.C. in Leg 1 of the Round of 16 of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup on Wednesday, March 11 at Snapdragon Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. PT with live coverage on Concacaf GO, One Soccer (ENG), FS1(ENG), and TUDN (SPA).
