Supect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 12500 Church Road

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man in the 12500 block of Church Road at about 3:25 p.m. on August 18.

The suspect, Kedrick Davol Henry, 31, is charged with murder in the 228th Criminal Disctrict Court. A Jefferson Parish Correctional Center booking photo of Henry is attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Kenneth Henry Jr., 43.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Dunn and Detective L. Brooks reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and located a male lying inside a residence with at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased.

Investigators learned the victim was taking out trash when a witness reported hearing multiple gunshots. A short time later, the victim went into the residence and collapsed in the doorway.

Further investigation identified Kedrick Davol Henry as the suspect in this incident. He was charged on August 27. On September 8, he was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in Gretna, Louisiana and booke into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center. He’s awaiting extradition to Harris County.
