Surveillance Photos of Suspect Sought in Fatal Shooting at 6420 Gulf Freeway

 

Houston police have released surveillance photos of a suspect sought in the fatal shooting of a man at 6420 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 12:40 p.m. last Friday (June 7).

The suspect is described only as an unknown Hispanic male.  Four surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Fernando Villarreal, 41.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and M. Casso reported:

Mr. Villarreal was fatally shot outside a gas station at the above address.  The suspect, described only as a Hispanic male wearing a dark-colored hoodie and dark shorts, fled the scene in an unknown direction.

A preliminary investigation determined Villarreal and the suspect knew each other and were together at the gas station for more than three hours before the suspect shot Villarreal.  The suspect is believed to live in the area of Telephone Road and the Gulf Freeway.  At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
