| Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in located a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a female that occurred at 7402 Calhoun Road about 12:45 a.m. on Sunday (February 8).
Dasja Wilmore, 25, is charged with murder in the 178th Criminal District Court. A previous booking photo of Wilmore, who is not in custody at this time, is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Asia Stewart, 26.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Rodriguez and M. Cater reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address. When they arrived, they found one victim had been transported to an area hospital via a private hospital. She was later pronounced deceased by doctors.
Further investigation revealed multiple people were hanging out within the apartment complex parking lot when a physical altercation took place involving multiple females at the lolcoation. Ms. Stewart was enlisted to help a friend when Wilmore intervened and began fighting with Stewart. The suspect then pulled out a pistol and shot Steward more than one time.
Wilmore was known to multiple people at the location. Officers consulted with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and a charge of murder was filed.
