Suspects Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 7400 North Main Street

 

Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man in the 7400 block of North Main Street about 9:05 p.m. on Saturday (August 16).

The suspects, Troy Giggins, 48, and Clarence Jackson, 49, are charged with capital murder in the 183rd Criminal District Court. Booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Nicholas Hood, 23.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Persad and Detectives L. Yasin, M. Cater and K. Hale reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found an unresponsive male with a gunshot wound. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male, later identified as Mr. Hood, deceased at the scene.

Further investigation identified Troy Giggins and Clarence Jackson as suspects. Both were already in the Harris County jail on unrelated charges. They were subsequently charged for their roles in this incident.
