The Houston Fire Department Mourns The Loss of Firefighter

The Houston Fire Department is saddened to report active Firefighter Brandy Allinience passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, after a courageous fight with cancer that is believed to be related to her work in the fire service.

FF Allinience entered The Department in 2014 and was assigned to Station 21/B before transitioning to an administrative function. Throughout her career, Brandy served the citizen’s of Houston from Stations 29, 52, 73, and 28.

«I grieve with Firefighter Allinience’s family, and the entire department is lifting them up in prayer,» said Fire Chief Thomas Munoz. «Her death is a stark reminder as to why cancer prevention research is so important to the fire service.»

Houston is the largest department participating in a $5M study by UT Health (https://www.uth.edu/news/story/researchers-with-uthealth-houston-school-of-public-health-awarded-5-million-to-study-cancer-risk-among-firefighters-in-texas) for early detection and research on cancer in firefighters.
