CRISTIAN “CHICHARITO” GONZÁLEZ BEATS JUAN “PINKY” ALEJO AND RETAINS WBC FECARBOX SILVER FLYWEIGHT TITLE ON ESTRELLATV’S BOXEO ESTRELLATV
MARCH 26, 2022, MEXICO CITY – Cristian “Chicharito” González defeated Juan “Pinky” Alejo by technical knockout at 3:07 in the first round and retained his WBC FECARBOX Silver Flyweight Title on EstrellaTV’Boxeo EstrellaTV. The series occurs the last Friday of every month and is broadcast from BB Auditorium in Mexico City.

Alejo’s first blow to González’s jaw motivated the man from Mexico to change his strategy and step up his attack, unleashing his best artillery in the first round. Alejo put González on the ropes, with his jabs and cross, and then moved him to the center of the ring.   There, Alejo tried a right hook to González’s face, but González beat him with a hook to the liver. Alejo went to the canvas, throwing his mouthguard. He was unable to recover from the pain allowing the referee’s count to reach ten seconds.

The fight ended prematurely, but “Chicharito” showed an important advance in his boxing development. He showed a commitment to strength and aggressiveness, taking 100 percent advantage of the first clear opportunity presented to him in the fight. With the win, he reached a streak of nine wins in a row.
