`CHICHARITO’ BEATS ‘MAESTRICO’ BY KO IN ROUND TWO AND RETAINS WBC FECARBOX CENTRAL AMERICA FEDERATION FLYWEIGHT TITLE ON ESTRELLATV’S BOXEO ESTRELLATV

MEXICO CITY, September 25, 2021 – Mexico’s Cristian “Chicharito” González defeated Venezuela’s Kenny Geovanny “El Maestrico” Cano by knockout in the second round, retaining the WBC Fecarbox Central America Federation Flyweight Title, last night on EstrellaTV’s monthly boxing series Boxeo EstrellaTV.  The series occurs the last Friday of every month and is broadcast live from Foro Centenario in Mexico City.

Modifications to González’s training by manager Daniel Valle helped produce great results for the fighter, who went out looking for a fight at the very beginning.  González’s first shots were to the body, causing Cano to start walking backwards, and he tried to respond with blows from long distance.

In the second round, González gave a string of blows and a powerful body shot followed by a hook to the head, which sent Cano to the canvas and Referee Uruzquieta stopping the fight at 1:52.

In the undercard, Jonathan Alexis “La Flaka” Ramírez of Guanajuato defeated Jonathan Luis “El Lagarto” Pérez of Michoacán by technical knockout at 1:07 in the fourth round, in an 8-round super featherweight bout.

Yair Mora Deval of Mexico City and Gustavo Alan Piña of Mexico City tied early in the third round due to an accidental head butt, 6-round featherweight fight.

In a 4-round cruiserweight fight, Luis Enrique “El Coyote” Garcia from the State of Mexico lost to Canada’s Peter “Heartbreaker” Nowaczek by unanimous decision 37-39, 38-39 and 37-39.

Mexico City’s Axl Raí Miranda beat Puebla’s Moisés “Bam Bam” García Zenteno by unanimous decision, 40-36, 39-36 and 40-35, in a 4-round lightweight bout.

In a four-round super lightweight fight, Mexico City’s Alexis de la Cruz defeated Alan Hernández “El Doberman” Contreras from the State of Mexico by unanimous decision 40-37, 39-37 and 39-37.

Mexico City’s Edwin Antonio Gutiérrez by unanimous decision to Mexico City’s Bryan Javier “El Terrible” Sánchez 39-37, 40-36 and 40-36, at 4-rounds at featherweight.
