Church Street Parking Lot to Permanently Close

For the last four years, the Town leased the surface parking lot at the corner of Church and Loudoun streets, next to the County Government Center parking garage, from the property owners. Construction on the Church & Market development is expected to begin imminently, necessitating the lot’s permanent closure. The lot will be completely blocked off to traffic by early next week.

There are still many free and low-cost parking options in the downtown area, including on street, and in both structured parking facilities and surface lots.
