| HOUSTON – Houston Public Library (HPL) is proud to announce the grand opening of TECHLink Vinson, a new state-of-the-art technology hub located inside the Hiram Clarke Multi-Service Center, 3810 West Fuqua St. Houston, TX 77045. The community is invited to join the celebration on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. – Noon, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, hands-on equipment demonstrations, guided tours, and immersive creative spaces open to all ages.
“At Houston Public Library, we believe that access to creativity, technology, and learning should be available to everyone,” said Sandy Gaw, Library Director of the Houston Public Library. “TECHLink Vinson represents our continued commitment to bridging digital opportunity and celebrating the talent, imagination, and resilience of our Houston community.”
TECHLink Music & Video Contest: Create. Record. Win.
Houston Public Library has also partnered with Venerable to launch the TECHLink Music & Video Contest, inviting Houstonians of all ages to create an original song or video inspired by the theme “Linked to Houston: What does Houston mean to you?”
“Venerable is proud to support initiatives that uplift communities and spark creativity and work with HPL’s TECHLink Team,” said Julie Cowart, a manager with Venerable affiliate SunAmerica Asset Management, LLC. “This contest celebrates Houston’s vibrant culture, and we are honored to help empower creators of all ages as they bring their stories to life.”
All TECHLink locations offer free access to professional recording studios, music production software, video equipment, and collaborative creative spaces, available to all MYLink Library cardholders.
