| HOUSTON – Houston Public Library (HPL) invites everyone to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. From mid-September through mid-October, HPL branches will host bilingual programs, cultural experiences, performances, workshops, and opportunities for connection.
We are highlighting artists, storytellers, and leaders shaping Houston’s future. HPL offers welcoming spaces where families, teens, and adults can learn, celebrate, and enjoy culturally rich programming.
“Our libraries are places where culture, creativity, and community come together,” said Sandy Gaw, Library Director of Houston Public Library. “Hispanic Heritage Month is a powerful opportunity to celebrate the stories and traditions that enrich our city and inspire future generations.”
Families can enjoy author visits and read-ins; teens can join folklórico workshops and a lively festival; adults can enjoy music, culinary demonstrations, and arts programming. All ages can take part in cultural experiences highlighting creativity and storytelling.
