Power Slap continues its global expansion as it brings its first live event to Doha, Qatar. A destination known for hosting major sporting events on a global stage, Power Slap 27, in partnership with Visit Qatar, is a can’t miss event. Power Slap lands in Doha the same weekend as UFC Fight Night, presenting combat sports fans with an action-packed weekend.
“We are thrilled to partner with Visit Qatar to showcase Power Slap – one of the most exciting live events you can go to – to the country, region and combat sports fans across the globe”, said Frank Lamicella, CEO of Thrill Sports & Power Slap. He continued, “Doha is an incredible destination for fight fans, and it’s a privilege to continue to bring Power Slap to new locations around the world as the sport continues its rapid growth.”
Headlining Power Slap 27 will be a middleweight title match between current Power Slap Middleweight Champion, Isaih “Puerto Rican Pretty Boy” Quinones (6-3, 6 KOs) and undefeated No. 1 ranked Middleweight from England, Darren “Tarantula” Godfrey (5-0, 1 NC). Both slap fighters are known for some of the most exciting matches in Power Slap history, with every one of their victories coming by knockout. Quinones has held the middleweight title for over a year, with impressive wins against former middleweight champion Branden Bordeaux and title contender Stunt Marshall. Godfrey has not lost a Power Slap match in his career and looks to bring the belt back to England.
In the co-main event, undefeated lightweight champion Robert “Real Deal” Trujillo (7-0, 5 KOs) defends his Lightweight title for the third time against rising contender and #1 ranked lightweight Bryan “Baby Yoda” Scambler (3-0, 2 KOs). Trujillo is one of the longest tenured fighters in Power Slap and considered by many to be the number one pound-for-pound slap fighter in the world. Scambler burst onto the Power Slap scene in 2026, with a victory in all three of his matches this year and looks to give Trujillo his first defeat and capture the lightweight title.
The remainder of the Power Slap 27 card and information on tickets will be announced in the coming days.
