SAN DIEGO (Monday Sept. 14, 2026) – San Diego FC (SDFC) will host Club Tijuana in the 2026 Baja Cup on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7:00 p.m. PT, before traveling to Florida to face off against Inter Miami CF on Saturday in the first-ever meeting between both clubs.

Wednesday’s match will feature the second edition of the Baja Cup between SDFC and Club Tijuana. In the inaugural edition, SDFC defeated Club Tijuana 4-2 on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025. Now, the two sides will face off in the second edition exactly one year later, with the winning club holding the Baja Cup until the next meeting between the two sides.
The two sides also faced off in an official competition for the first time ever in the 2026 Leagues Cup, where SDFC earned a 1-0 victory over Tijuana on Aug. 9 at Snapdragon Stadium.
SDFC enters the match with an 8-9-6 record (30 points) in the regular season after falling to the Philadelphia Union in the regular season on Sunday night. Club Tijuana enters the match with a 4-1-2 record (13 points) in Liga MX play following a 1-0 loss to Club Querétaro.
Following Wednesday night’s Baja Cup match, SDFC will return to MLS action with another edition of Sunday Night Soccer as the club travels to face Inter Miami CF at Nu Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 20. Kickoff for Sunday’s match is set for 4:00 p.m. PT, with live coverage available on Apple TV and radio coverage on San Diego Sports 760 AM.
