HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Martinez and S. Chettry reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at 14110 Buffalo Speedway and found Mr. Forbes unresponsive in the median of the road.  He had suffered gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased.  Officers then learned of a second shooting that occurred a short distance away at 14137 Fleetwell Drive.

Officers arrived at Fleetwell Drive and found Mr. Reed unresponsive on the front porch of the residence.  Paramedics pronounced him deceased from gunshot wounds.  Officers were then approached by another man, who stated he had also been shot at that location.  Paramedics transported the man to an area hospital in stable condition.

Further investigation identified Franklin Williams as the suspect in this case and, on February 6, he was arrested and charged for his role in this incident.

Subsequent investigation identified Simpson as a second suspect in this case.  On Wednesday (August 30), Simpson was arrested and charged for his involvement and booked into the Harris County Jail.
