HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Michon and D. Davis reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased person found at an apartment complex at the above location. Upon arrival, officers were notified by Houston Fire Department paramedics that they located the male, later identified as Mr. Briones, in the breezeway between the parking garage and an apartment building.  He had blunt force trauma to his torso.

Further investigation identified Bonilla as a suspect in this incident. Officers with the Central Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team arrested him last Thursday (November 7). Bonilla admitted to his role in Briones’ death and was subsequently charged.
