Suspect Arrested, Charged in April Fatal Shooting at 10630 Beechnut Street 

 

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 10630 Beechnut Street about 8:55 p.m. on April 28.

The suspect, Isaac Dornell Pettway, 20, is charged with murder in the 208th State District Court.  A booking photo of Pettway is attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Tony Harrison, 30.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Finlay and E. Camacho reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and met with Houston Fire Department paramedics.  The male, later identified as Mr. Harrison, was unresponsive and  had sustained several gunshot wounds.  Paramedics pronounced him deceased.

A witness reported seeing Harrison get into a verbal altercation with an unknown suspect.  The suspect retrieved a firearm and shot Harrison multiple times during a struggle.  The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

At that time, there was no known suspect description.

Further investigation identified Pettway as the suspect in this case.  Pettway was arrested on Monday (May 20) without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail.
