Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 10126 Jensen Drive 
A suspect charged in the fatal shooting of two persons and the wounding of four others at 10126 Jensen Drive about 11:20 p.m. on December 14, 2024.

Jakorian Mouton, 19, is charged with capital murder and tampering with evidence in the 497th Criminal District Court.  A previous photo of Mouton, who is in custody in the Jefferson County Jail, is attached to this news release.

A’Ziria Bankhead, 14, and Randle King, 16, were both identified as victims of the fatal shooting.

Four other victims, all females, were hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective J. Brown reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a party venue known as “The Curfew Club” at the above address and observed a large number of juveniles and young adults running from the venue.

Officers learned multiple persons had been shot and one male (Mr. King) was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Paramedics transported a number of victims to hospitals and one victim was transported to a hospital in a private vehicle.

Witnesses stated to officers they saw the suspect shooting a pistol into the crowd of people at the venue.  He was described as a tall, thin black male suspect wearing all black clothing, a black hooded sweatshirt, and a black mask covering his face.  Further investigation identified the suspect as Mouton.

On Tuesday (June 9) Beaumont police department officers, along with members of the Southeast Texas Violent Crime Taskforce, arrested Mouton and he was subsequently charged for his role in the fatal shooting.
