| Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 2512 Craigmont Street about 7:20 p.m. on June 26.
The suspect, Guillermo Hernandez Jr., 37, is charged with murder in the 209th Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Hernandez is attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Smith and D. Toledo reported:
HPD officers responded to a disturbance call at the above address and located a male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male to area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Responding officers detained Hernandez a few blocks from the scene. The Harris County District Attorney’s office was consulted and Hernandez was subsequently arrested and charged for his role in this incident.
