 Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 7800 Rockhill Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man in the 7800 block of Rockhill Street about 10:10 a.m. on March 27.

The suspect, Willie Gomez, 20, is charged with murder in the 263rd Criminal District Court. A booking photo of Gomez is attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Jeremy Moore, 36.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Watson and Detective H. Martinez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the male suffering multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to an area hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased.

Further investigation identified Willie Gomez as the suspect in this incident. Member of HPD’s Southeast Patrol Division’s Crime Suppression Team arrested Gomez on April 10. He was subsequently charged and booking into the Harris County jail.
