| Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 5919 Beldart Street about 7:50 p.m. on June 27.
The suspect, D’ Andre Vasquez, 19, is charged with capital murder in the 177th State District Court. A booking photo of Vasquez is attached to this news release.
The victim is identified as Plezher Wooley, 18.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective M. Providence reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting at a residence at the above location and found the victim lying on the front patio with a gunshot wound. HFD paramedics transported the victim, later identified as Mr. Wooley, to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
At that time, there was no known motive or suspect(s) description.
Further investigation identified Vasquez as the suspect in this case. Vasquez was arrested on Tuesday (July 25) by officers with the HPD Southeast Patrol Division Crime Suppression Team and then booked into the Harris County Jail.
