Suspect Arrested in Fatal Shooting at 3700 Tierwester Street

 

A suspect wanted and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 3700 Tierwester Street about 12:40 p.m. last Thursday (Aug. 17) is in custody.

The suspect, Edward Domon Brown, 44, is charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court.  Following his arrest, Brown was also charged with felon in possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance in the same court.  A booking photo of Brown is attached to this news release.He is accused in the killing of Horatio Rodriguez Harris, 37.HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and M. Casso reported:  HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found Mr. Harris unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds  Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him deceased.  The suspect fled the scene in a white vehicle immediately after the shooting.  A preliminary investigation indicated Harris and the suspect knew each other and had recent arguments.Further investigation identified Brown as the suspect in this case and he was subsequently charged on Saturday (August 19).On Tuesday (Aug. 22), Brown was arrested during a traffic stop by HPD Northeast Patrol Division officers.  He was in possession of a stolen gun and a controlled substance.  The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and two additional felony charges were filed against Brown.
