Suspect Charged, Wanted in 2021 Fatal Shooting at 12325 Hillcroft Avenue  
Houston police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 12325 Hillcroft Avenue about 3:05 a.m. on August 29, 2021.

The suspect, Marlon Moises Garcia, 22, is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.  He is not in custody.  A photo of Garcia is attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Luis Garcia, 33.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Jimenez and Officer A. Dudley reported:

Luis Garcia was fatally shot following an argument and physical fight during a gathering at a residence at the above address.  Multiple persons were reported to be present during the events leading up to the shooting and some witnesses reported hearing gunshots after the altercation occurred in the front yard.  The suspect(s) fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Early stages of the investigation developed Marlon Moises Garcia (no relation to the victim) as a person of interest wanted for questioning.  Further investigation led to a murder charge being filed on Garcia in October 2022. Detectives have exhausted all efforts to locate him and are asking for the public’s assistance.
