Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 9780 Bissonnet Street
Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man found at 9780 Bissonnet Street about 12:15 a.m. on January 8.

The suspect, Ayriana Hamler (b/f, 25), is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court.  A previous 2021 booking photo and another photo of Hamler are attached to this news release.  She is not in custody.

The victim, Rotimi Olaleye, 49, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Horne and J. Wallschlaeger reported:

Officers responded to a report of a person down in a strip center parking lot at the above address and found Mr. Olaleye lying on the ground next to a running vehicle.  He had been shot multiple times.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced Olaleye deceased at the scene. Further investigation led to the identity of Hamler as the suspect in this case and she was subsequently charged.    Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ayriana Hamler is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or speak anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
