Suspects Arrested, Charged in March 2020 Fatal Shooting at 8802 Koala Drive
Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man and wounding of a woman at 8802 Koala Drive about 2:30 a.m. on March 13, 2020.

The suspects, Liquorian Robertson, 29, and Willie Gabriel, 28, are charged with murder in the 263rd and 351st State District Courts, respectively.  Both are accused in the death of Rogelio Montelongo, 29.

The female victim, 24, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition and later released.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives B. Moss, M. Arrington, M. Barrow and J. Caten reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call to the residence at the above address and learned the victims were shot in the driveway.  Two black male suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a black or dark gray Dodge Charger.

Paramedics transported the victims to an area hospital where the male, later identified as Mr. Montelongo, was pronounced deceased.

Evidence at the scene indicated the shooting may have been a narcotics-related incident.

Further investigation determined Robertson and Gabriel had been in contact with Montelongo leading up to the shooting.  Robertson and Gabriel had also been in contact with each other.  Both men were arrested on Wednesday (August 31) and subsequently charged for their roles in the shooting.
