Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the assault of a man at 5110 Washington Avenue about 2:20 a.m. on May 3.
The suspects, Caleb Alejandro Madrigal, 26, and Tanausu Mikel Madrigal, 21,are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery with deadly weapon in the 486th State District Court and the 337th State District Court, respectively.

The victim, 26, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective M. Bellahna reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call near the above address and found the victim lying in the parking lot unresponsive and with injuries to his face and head. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
At that time, there were no known suspects.
Further investigation identified the Madrigals as the suspects in this case. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and the Madrigals were subsequently charged for their roles in this incident.
