Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 9502 Woodfair Drive about 3:15 p.m. on May 25.
The suspects – Qiriathiam Phillips (b/m, 25) and Consetta Rao (b/f, 24) – are charged with murder in the 339th State District Court. Rao is also charged with being a felon in possession of a weapon. Booking photos of both suspects are attached to this news release.
The victim, Tevin Watson, 29, suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at an area hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Glover and Detectives P. Pak and J. Pickett reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the apartment complex at the above address and found two children and Mr. Watson in an apartment. Watson had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Officers provided medical assistance to Watson until Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived. Watson was transported to a hospital where he later died. The children were unharmed.
Further investigation identified Phillips and Rao as the suspects in this case and they were taken into custody on Thursday (July 15). Phillips was out on seven felony bonds at the time of this murder. |
