HOMETOWN HERO MANUEL “GUCCI MANNY” FLORES TO FIGHT AGAINST MEXICO’S VICTOR OLIVO AS GOLDEN BOY FIGHT NIGHT ON DAZN EVENT

INDIO, CALIF. (October 17, 2024) – The undercard for Golden Boy Fight Night on DAZN: Flores vs. Olivo has been finalized and will feature Golden Boy’s top prospects from the Coachella Valley. In the main event, hometown hero Manuel “Gucci Manny” Flores (18-1, 14 KOs) will return in a 10-round bantamweight match up against Victor Olivo (21-4-1, 9 KOs). With three consecutive knockout performances, “Gucci Manny” will be looking to dazzle the crowd with another top performance. The 10-round main event will take place at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino. Doors to the Special Events Center open at 4:00 p.m. PT, the first fight will be at 4:30 p.m. PT and the worldwide broadcast on DAZN will begin at 6:00 p.m. PT.
In the co-main event, Cathedral City’s Tito Sanchez (13-0, 7 KOs) will measure up against Mexico City’s Edwin “Pupo” Palomares (18-5-3, 9 KOs) in a 10-round super bantamweight fight. On the broadcast, Coachella Valley’s hometown undefeated stud Grant Flores (6-0, 5 KOs) will fight Carolina, Puerto Rico’s Luis Ramos (7-4-1, 7 KOs) in a six-round super welterweight fight.

 

Also on DAZN, in a lightweight fight scheduled for six-rounds, Denver, Colorado’s Daniel “Junebug” Garcia (9-0, 7 KOs) will take on a huge challenge and face Oxnard, California’s Jorge Villegas (14-3, 13 KOs). The undefeated top prospect Gael “El Terror” Cabrera (5-0, 3 KOs) of Sonora, Mexico will participate in a six-round super bantamweight fight against a soon to be announced opponent. Opening the DAZN broadcast, Coachella Valley’s Cayden Griffiths (1-0, 1 KOs) will battle Markus Bowes (3-6, 2 KOs) of Roxboro, North Carolina in a four-round super lightweight fight.

 

On the preliminary card, Santa Ana’s Johnny “Sugarcane” Cañas (5-0, 2 KOs) will fight Pedro “Zurdo de Oro” Cruz (3-5, 2 KOs) of San Jose in a six-round lightweight fight. In a four-round lightweight fight, Victorville’s Daniel “Ikaika” Luna (4-1, 4 KOs) will face Caracas, Venezuela’s Giovanny Gonzalez (2-5, 2 KOs). Opening up fight night, Kevin Gudiño of West Covina will make his professional debut against Bryan Cox (0-1) of Cedar Hill, Texas in a four-round bantamweight.
