World Boxing Council to Hold Its 2026 Annual Convention in Acapulco

From November 8–13, the global boxing family will gather in Acapulco, Mexico, for a week of learning, celebration and unforgettable experiences

MEXICO CITY – September 8, 2026 – The World Boxing Council (WBC) is set to host its 2026 Annual Convention, taking place from November 8–13 at the Palacio Mundo Imperial in Acapulco, Mexico, bringing the global boxing family together once again

For one week, Acapulco will become a meeting point for fighters, champions, promoters, officials, trainers, physicians, media members, brand representatives, and members of the international boxing community.

The Convention represents one of the most important gatherings on the WBC calendar and will offer a full week of activities focused on the present and future of the sport, along with opportunities to connect and strengthen the bonds that unite the international boxing community.

Pre-registration is available throughout the month of September for $200 USD.

Beginning in October, registration will be $250 USD.

A Week Full of Activities

The Convention will offer a wide variety of events and experiences for every member of the boxing family.

Welcome Cocktail, kicking off a week of friendship, celebration, and unforgettable moments.
Special boxing broadcasts, including the fights featuring Skye Nicolson and Tiara Brown.
Opening Ceremony, officially marking the beginning of the Convention.
General Session, one of the week´s central events, where some of the most important issues shaping the future of boxing will be discussed, including new rules, developments within the sport, practices aimed at making boxing safer, and proposals to continue improving the sport. The session will also feature brand presentations and industry innovations.
Judges and Referees Seminars, focused on educating new officials about the foundations and regulations of the WBC, while providing training and practical exercises designed to improve and standardize the criteria used during fights.
Specialized workshops and seminars, covering a variety of important areas, including medicine, marketing, philanthropy, and other fields essential to the continued development of boxing.
Gala Dinner, one of the most special evenings of the Convention.
Farewell Dinner, closing out a memorable week of connection and celebration.
