Construction Work to Take Place at Thomas Balch Library
Parking will be limited during normal business hours.
Leesburg, VA (September 2, 2022) – Beginning on Tuesday, September 6, the access ramp and handrail, leading from the ADA parking space to the public entrance of the Thomas Balch Library, will be replaced.
The project will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. and is estimated to take four days to complete, depending on the weather. The handrail will take several weeks to fabricate.
The west end of the library parking lot will be used for construction staging. As a result, the public is asked to park in the east or left side of the parking lot as you look at the entrance to the building.
As a reminder, the library is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and by appointment only on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The library will be open from 1 to 5 p.m., on Sundays, beginning September 11.
