Leesburg Police to Host Annual National Night Out Event on Tuesday August 2, 2022
Leesburg, VA – The Leesburg Police Department will celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The event will take place in the Leesburg Mobile Home Park community located near the intersection of South Street SE and Parker Court SE in Leesburg. All Town residents are invited to participate in this annual community building event. Those attending the event are asked to park nearby as parking will be limited at the event site.
The Leesburg Police Department will have police vehicles and equipment on display, and children are invited to meet our officers in person. Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company as well as the Town of Leesburg’s Streets Division will have equipment on display. Representatives from the Town of Leesburg’s Diversity Commission will also be in attendance. Other activities will include refreshments, activities for children, music, and one of our sponsors, Target, will be hosting a bicycle raffle.
As the Leesburg Police Department’s premier community relations event, National Night Out serves to reinforce crime and drug prevention awareness while generating support and participation for local anti-crime efforts. It helps foster and strengthen neighborhood collaboration and police-community relations.
This event would not be possible without the help of our 2022 National Night Out Leesburg Sponsors who include Target, Wegmans, Chick-fil-A, Tree of Life Ministries, and INMED USA.
