Leesburg Shows Support for Ukraine by Illuminating Town Hall Parking Garage

Lights for Ukraine Leesburg, VA (February 28, 2022) – Beginning this evening, blue and yellow flood lights will illuminate the Loudoun Street wall of the Town Hall parking garage in support of freedom in Ukraine. Lights will also be displayed in front of the Town Green.

“The Leesburg Town Council and Town residents stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people,” said Mayor Kelly Burk. “Their courage and determination to fight off the violent invasion they are experiencing is inspiring. Leesburg wants to show our support for the Ukrainian people fighting to keep their democracy alive.”

The illumination is expected to run through Wednesday, March 17.
