Jim Hanna PhotographLeesburg, VA (October 6, 2021) – A new exhibit from local photographer Jim Hanna, “Loudoun County: Still Hooked on Growth,” is available for viewing at Thomas Balch Library.

This exhibit aims to be a visual reminder of Loudoun County’s ongoing choice to pursue an aggressive high economic growth path driven by the ongoing strong expansion of population, housing, and data centers in its land use. This growth choice stands out in the Washington Metro Region and these trends, if continued, will have major economic, environmental, and lifestyle consequences.

The exhibit will be available to view from October to December. Library hours are:

  • Monday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
