LAS VEGAS – Power Slap Mobile has entered the gaming world with striking results, allowing slap fighting fans to compete virtually in Power Slap, the world’s premier slap fighting promotion which has become a social media phenomenon. Only one day after becoming available worldwide on iOS and Android devices, Power Slap Mobile surged globally to the No. 1 App Store (iOS) free game in both the Sports and Action categories, and No. 2 in Free Games. Power Slap Mobile also ranks as the No. 1 Top Free Game/Sports in Google Play.
Led by Dana White, Power Slap Mobile was developed by Rollic, a subsidiary of Zynga Inc., a wholly-owned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive. Gamers become part of the action on the Power Slap stage while enjoying multiple features including a Dana White-narrated career mode, training modes, in-game events, and live challenges. Players can create their own custom avatar or play as their favorite Power Slap champion. The app also promotes real-life Power Slap events.
Power Slap Mobile launched Wednesday, Aug. 9 concurrently with POWER SLAP 4: HINTZ vs. TURPIN, which posted the highest peak concurrent use viewership on Rumble since Power Slap 1.
“The immediate public adoption and engagement with Power Slap Mobile is the latest example proving there is a genuine growing interest in our sport,” said Frank Lamicella, Power Slap President.
Power Slap Mobile’s organic connection with the gaming community led to additional impressive fan engagement numbers as of Aug. 11, immediately following its launch:
- 750K matches played – 600K times won.
- 100M slaps (training and matches combined) made.
- 750K coin tosses completed. Players have chosen “heads” with a 55% rate.
“The player response to Power Slap has been incredible and we are thrilled to see the reactions and engagement so quickly after launch,” said Burak Vardal, CEO of Rollic. “We love to see the massive enthusiasm and support coming from the Power Slap community and cannot wait to show everyone what we are planning next for the game.”
Narrated by Dana White, the game currently features four Power Slap Athletes, including Light Heavyweight Champion Wolverine (Ron Bata); former Light Heavyweight champion Ayjay “Static” Hintz; Super Heavyweight Da Crazy Hawaiian (Koa Viernes); and Welterweight Champion Christapher “K.O. Chris” Thomas. Additional athletes will be added in future updates, the first of which is planned to launch later this month and feature Heavyweight Champion The Bell (Damien Dibbell) and Middleweight Champion John “The Machine” Davis.
Power Slap is regulated and sanctioned by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Founded in 2022 by White, Lorenzo Fertitta, and Craig Piligian in partnership with Ultimate Fighting Championship, Power Slap events air exclusively on Rumble.
